Chelsea Hotel Shoot: South Jersey Boudoir Photography

So… I am completely thrilled with how our very first boudoir marathon went down. It was three crazy days for Shannon and I, but we seriously had a blast! We photographed 7 girls over the course of a few days and I survived on my usual diet of coffee and protien bars. Thankfully, there was a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts right around the corner! The weather on Monday and Tuesday was cloudy, chilly, and rainy- not at all like summer time, so needless to say, it was great to be tucked away in our waterfront hotel room. While everyone of our gorgeous clients had amazing images, not all of them wanted their photos online. So what you are seeing is just a teeny- tiny peek into what we actually shot. And I couldn’t resist grabbing some shots of our very talented makeup fair- Shannon! The light in the room was gorgeous and I had an hour to kill so I got this super casual and pretty shot right off the bat!

Wow, I just came across these gorgeous images from Vouge Italia: Beauty on another blog. I was so excited to see some behind the scenes video along with the final print images. The room is kind of cluttered and the decorating is a little tacky, the lighting is super simple, but the shots are stunning!!! This really proves that you don’t need a lot of fancy equipment, studios, or assistants to create amazing images. If you are a good photographer, you make it work… beautifully. Take a look at some of these images and then watch the video below. Start thinking of some ideas for your next Glamour Bitch Photo shoot!

Ashley: South Jersey Glamour Photography

Ashley came to me back in May for a bridal boudoir shoot to surprise her husband to be. Even though she was a little nervous, her excitement and enthusiasm blew me away. Ashley was a natural in front of the camera. Wouldn’t you agree?
Just 2 weeks before their wedding, we managed to put together a great 4×6 “little black book” for her to present to him the night before they got married. Needless to say, her hubby loved the photos!! So when Ashley asked him to send her back to us as a birthday gift, he was happy to. Since we did a lingerie look for his eyes only during our first shoot, Ashley opted to do something a little more casual this time. We used a Guess? advertisement as our inspiration and came up with this shot. It’s definitely one of my favorite images.
Just around the corner, there is a field of these amazing wild flowers that we decided to use for her second look.
I am so thrilled with how every thing came together and I can’t wait to work with Ashley again.
Jane- South Jersey Boudoir Photography

Jane is one of my favorite clients! I got to do my third shoot in 2 months with her earlier this week. Jane travels all the way from New York, over 2 hours to come and see us and she always brings the most fabulous things for her shoot. After viewing my blog post about the Miss USA photos, she decided that she wanted to recreate one of those looks for her shoot. I love the combination of her dark hair and the light shirt in black and white. There are a ton of photos from this shoot that I can’t wait to share.

Waking up in Vegas: Inspiration

So these images may have been deemed “inappropriate” for the Miss USA pageant, but I think they are an excellent inspiration for your boudoir shoot with us. There is nothing sexier than your man’s white shirt paired with your black lingerie! Tousled hair and smokey eyes complete the look. I can’t wait to recreate some of these images. So simple and so pretty.

Beach Shoot with Autumn- South Jersey Glamour Photography

When Autumn contacted me about re-creating a gorgeous Herb Ritts image of Laetitia Casta, I was instantly excited. She explained that her boyfriend’s birthday was coming up and he loved this pic.
Autumn was traveling over an hour to get to us and we needed to fit the shoot into both of our crazy schedules. So we chose to go to Ocean City, NJ in mid April thinking that it would be chilly, but bearable. All I can say is that we got really lucky with some beautiful weather and some amazing images! I can’t decide which finish I like best, so I will post all three. Thanks so much Autumn for allowing me to share your pics!
Lindsay Lohan in Muse Magazine

While checking in with some of my favorite photography blogs, I came across a post with these photos of Lindsay Lohan. These images were shot by Yu Tsai for Muse Magazine. I don’t know why I haven’t seen these photos before, but I loooove how edgy and glamorous they are. The video is incredibly sexy and has some really beautiful black and white images in it. I got a great dose of inspiration for an edgy boudoir shoot and I have the perfect model in mind
