Outfit ideas for your boudoir session- New Jersey Glamour Photography

A lot of girls book a session with us and are so excited to start shopping for their shoot. And then frustration sets in… fast. But honestly, no worries on what to wear. You don’t need to spend a ton of money on outfits, but it never hurts to treat yourself to something fabulous for your shoot either. While you don’t need to wear lingerie for your shoot, many of the ladies we work with choose to. These 4 outfits are simple and pretty for a shoot with us in case you are looking for a little inspiration!

When shopping for your “looks,” take an (honest) friend along with you. Try on a bunch of different styles, colors, etc. Make sure you are realistic about what looks good on your figure, and look for outfits that play up your favorite features! We’ll do our part with airbrushing, but proper fitting garments are a must when it comes to looking and feeling your best! If you are still stuck, browse some of the images on our site and gather up some outfit inspiration.

New Jersey Boudoir Photography- Lisa’s Boudoir Shoot

Lisa has been a friend of mine, for geez, 8 years? We lost touch a few years ago when she got married and started a family, but low and behold, Facebook put us back in touch. I had the pleasure of photographing her daughter as a newborn and it took me a while, but Shannon and I were able to convince her that she needed a shoot for herself. Being a mother of two, a wife, and working full time, Lisa rarely gets an opportunity to feel glamorous for a day. A shoot at our boudoir studio was exactly what she needed to get her groove back. We had a great time during the session and got to reminisce about how easy life was in our 20′s. But honestly, I still think we get better with age, don’t you agree?

WPPI 2012 and Las Vegas Desert Boudoir Shoot

Last month, I attended WPPI in Las Vegas which is a huge trade show and conference for professional photographers. Attending WPPI with 15,000 other amazingly talented individuals has always been a goal of mine. This year, I finally felt like I was qualified (in my own mind, lol) to attend. What a humbling and mind- blowing experience to be taught by some of the most amazing photographers in our industry. I was also lucky enough to meet one of my idols, Sue Bryce, and to make some great friends. Five crazy days of lectures, classes, workshops, and networking left me exhausted, inspired, and exhilarated all at the same time. I managed to sneak in time for a photo shoot with some fabulous models and photographers near the Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. It was to die for… seriously. So thrilled to have the opportunity to do something like this, made the whole trip that much more exciting.

And while shooting in New Jersey isn’t quite as glamorous as the mountains, it’s still a great way to add some variety to your photo shoot with us here! Check out the photos from some of the on location and shoots we’ve done outdoors in this post- Shooting Outdoors.

Sexy Mama: Glamorous Black and White Portraits of a Fabulous Lady

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this woman. She is fabulous in every sense of the word. We first me Desiree a couple years ago when she came to our studio for a shoot. She was quiet and kind of shy, but we definitely got her our of her shell a little. Her hubby loved the pics so much, he asked her to come back and do a book of nudes for him for his birthday! I gotta tell you, Des worked her tail off doing Turbo Fire ( I loved following her progress via FB, totally inspirational), got in the best shape of her life, and booked the shoot. She came loaded with a bag of goodies, lingerie, shoes, and jewelry and left the rest up to us. I love when a client trusts us enough to let us run wild with ideas. Here are a few of my favorites from her session, pretty sexy stuff, don’t ya think? Thank you so much Des for allowing us to share your photos!

Happy New Year… With Gratitude: South Jersey Boudoir Photography

I always get sentimental this time of year when I look back and see all that I have accomplished both personally and professionally. At the beginning of the new year I like to take time to set goals, make plans, and to try something different. This year was no exception. I learned from reading a book about entrepreneurship by Donald Trump, that you have a much better chance of reaching a goal you set for yourself if you put it in writing. Now, looking at the list I made last January 2nd, I can honestly say that I can cross a lot off. There are still one or two things that I could be doing better, but I have taken action in one way or another and that feels really good.

In any event, none of those accomplishments are mine alone. I have THE BEST group of girls supporting me and my vision for Glamour Bitch Photography, every single day. Shannon, Kristen, and Kelley all work their tails off to make sure that each client has a great experience from start to finish. With their contributions to the business, we have grown enormously this past year. I am so unbelievably GRATEFUL to have these ladies in my life, and can honestly say that I couldn’t have done it without them.

So I have to say thank you to my GB girls and every single client we have had the opportunity to work with this year. I feel so blessed and grateful to live life doing something I love.

Happy New Year, I hope that 2012 brings you wonderful things. Make it your resolution to “See Yourself Sexy.”

We’re always trying to give our clients another reason to come back and see us, and some of your new sets are just the ticket!
