Since I attended a fabulous California workshop back in February, I have really been inspired to try some new things here at the studio. Working with “hot lights” and more natural light has really been fun. I am grateful that I always have a friend or two around that will sit (0r pose in painful positions) while I am “being creative” LOL. These are a few images I shot with Shannon and a few clients we’ve had in the past week. This is a great set for a dress, jeans, or lingerie. We <3 Schecky’s!! If you like us on facebook, follow our twitter updates, or subscribe to our blog, you’ve heard that Glamour Bitch was going to be participating in our first ever Shecky’s event. See this post. Needless to say we were all a little apprehensive going into this show because it was not only our largest vendor event ever, but we had no idea what to expect! We had prepared for weeks leading up to the event and pulled a lot of all nighters designing marketing materials, choosing decorations, and stuffing 500 envelopes! Yikes!! But we were still wondering how or IF it would all come together. I am so happy to say it definitely did and we had a BLAST! We met so many wonderful women and had some serious laughs. Not to mention, it was just an overall really fun and happy event that we felt lucky enough to be a part of! We booked a ton of girls for upcoming shoots and spread our “See Yourself Sexy” message to hundreds of ? others. We even got lucky enough to see some past clients at the event! A huge thank you to Maribel, Deana, AnnMarie, and Rosa for not only coming out to show your love and support, but for also taking some great pics with us!! We’ll be participating again in the Fall and we look forward to seeing you all there!

Fun New Stuff: New Jersey Glamour Photographer

Recently I got to travel to California to attend a photography workshop. While I was excited to learn some new things on an operational level and the business end of things, it’s always so fun to learn some new creative things to share with my clients. A lot of the images that I shot at the workshop were so completely different than what I shoot here everyday. It was really refreshing to work with different lighting, studio set ups, and models. I still need to post the images that I shot at the workshop, but here are some pics I did of Ryan and Shannon while trying out my new lights and some fun styling. I have so many great ideas for some fun spring shoots, and have ordered a funky new backdrop for you gals, too! It’s time to book yourself a shoot for Spring.

I first met Cheyenne in November of 2007 and was blown away by her story. Just 12 months after giving birth to her first child and having gained 95 pounds, she competed in her first fitness show at Fitness New York where she placed top ten in both Fitness Bikini and Fitness Model. Her determination and motivation are contagious, and I can’t help but be inspired by her success every time we talk. Cheyenne started a website called Fitness 4 Moms (www.fitness4moms.com) which helps to inspire women to take control of their lives and get fit in a healthy way. She shares her workout routines, meal plans, and beauty advice along with some before and after pictures of herself for some inspiration. You will have to visit her site to see the “before” shots, but she has given me permission to share some of the “after” images we created together. These shots are from her Vixen shoot, which is 3 different looks and offers your plenty of variety.

Wow, I just came across these gorgeous images from Vouge Italia: Beauty on another blog. I was so excited to see some behind the scenes video along with the final print images. The room is kind of cluttered and the decorating is a little tacky, the lighting is super simple, but the shots are stunning!!! This really proves that you don’t need a lot of fancy equipment, studios, or assistants to create amazing images. If you are a good photographer, you make it work… beautifully. Take a look at some of these images and then watch the video below. Start thinking of some ideas for your next Glamour Bitch Photo shoot!

Katie: South Jersey Glamour Photography

Katie came for a shoot a few months ago, looking to give her boyfriend something fabulous for his birthday. She was a little nervous, but you would never know it by looking at these pics. She was a natural, you would have thought she had done this a million times. After discussing our love of David Yurman jewelery, we chose her looks and put together some great outfits. Katie booked the half day shoot, so we ended up with a lot of variety in her sets which made for a great album. The first look was a really cool pair of flocked jeans with a bustier she borrowed from us and a pair of thigh high black boots.

The second look was a sweet lavender bra and panty set from H&M. Check out their selection of inexpensive lingerie, proving you don’t need to be extravagant when putting together your looks. Simple is always beautiful!

Her last look, a simple black dress, was my favorite. The simplicity of the dress allowed us to go a little wild with the background and we also mixed in the vintage style head piece. Katie was my first client to rock the hot pink damask background and I think she did an awesome job. I hear her boyfriend loved the pics! Thanks Katie, for allowing me to share your photos.

Nina: South Jersey Boudoir Photography

Nina came for her first shoot with us in January after seeing some photos I had done for her nanny. She booked a full day shoot with us and brought a ton of great outfit options and even some fun hair extensions from Jessica Simpson. Even though she was pretty nervous, Nina was eager to surprise her husband with some sexy photos. Needless to say, he loved the pics and she came back for a second shoot in February. After discussing the options, we decided that a custom 8×8 album would be the perfect way to show off her finished images. Here’s a peek at a few of her album spreads.
